06-09 CORVETTE 7.0L CAT BACK EXHAUST KIT

The new C6 is a muscle car with a big powerful engine on a sophisticated, sexy chassis. BORLA has always used the transfer of technology from racing to the street as a tool, and the C5, C6 and Z06 play right into that wheelhouse. With an experienced R&D staff, the BORLA team has given the Chevrolet mark the attention it deserves by rolling out several new systems for the Corvette. Airflow management and exhaust engineering is a science with which BORLA has more experience than anyone in the exhaust aftermarket.

BORLA® offers a variety of options for the C5, C6 and Z06. Choose from several tip styles and muffler designs. Cat-Backs and Rear Sections are available with either the highly popular S-Type muffler or the Touring muffler.  The S-Type is a smaller, round muffler with a center-in/center-out configuration giving a more aggressive sound and higher flow.  For those who prefer it on the milder side, we have the Touring muffler -- a larger case producing less aggressive sound.  Some come with an assortment of tip designs.

Details:

3 X pipe assembly followed by a 3.00 left and right extension pipe. Connecting to the extension pipes are two 3 over-axle pipes followed by the rear muffler assembly which consists of two 3 muffler inlet pipes and two 5 diameter X 10 long round S style mufflers. Exiting each muffler is a 3 outlet pipe leading to a collector which splits into two 2 pipes. Connected to each pipe are the single, 4.25 diameter X 4 long, round, rolled edge angle-cut, intercooled split rear tips.

R&D Test Results show flows of up to 100cfm more than the factory exhaust (for a total flow of 1199 cfm @ 50 H2O). Weight Comparison: 44 lbs. while the factory system weights in at 71 lbs.

Sound:  108.725 dba using SAE standard J1169 which is 12.1 dba louder than the factory exhaust. Horsepower/Torque Data: Using a Dyno Jet 248 Chassis Dynamometer, we have seen gains of up to 24 additional horsepower and 24 additional ft. lbs. torque.
